چکیده

Size separation of silver nanoparticles was investigated in counter-current chromatography (CCC) based on a unique step-gradient extraction process. Carboxylate anions were modified on silver nanoparticles to produce water-dispersible nanoparticles. The aqueous nanoparticles were readily transferred to the organic phase (toluene/hexane = 1:1, v/v) together with the phase transfer catalyst, tetraoctylammonium bromide (TOAB), owing to the ion-pair adduct formation between silver nanoparticle anions and tetraoctylammonium cations. Smaller nanoparticles were found to be more readily transferred to ounter-current chromatography

Ultra-Trace Determination of Silver in Water, Soil and Radiology Film Samples Using Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction and Microvolume UV–Vis Spectrophotometry

In this research, a Dispersive Liquid-Liquid MicroExtraction (DLLME) method coupled to UV-vis spectrophotometry was developed for the indirect determination of silver ion. The method is based on the catalytic effect of the silver ion on the oxidation of congo red by potassium peroxodisulphate and extraction with DLLME procedure using chloroform (extraction solvent) containing cetyltrimethyl...

Ion Pair Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction for the Determination of Trace Amounts of Copper(II) in Soil, Multivitamin Tablet, Tea and Water Samples Using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

Ion pair dispersive liquid- liquid microextraction (IP-DLLME) method combined with flame atomic absorption spectrometry was proposed for the determination of trace amounts of copper(II). By using pyrocatechol violet as chelating agent and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide as an ion pairing agent, the trace amount of copper(II) was extracted in chloroform. The factors influencing the formation cop...

Controllable Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Citrate as Complexing Agent: Characterization of Nanopartciles and Effect of pH on Size and Crystallinity

A method for the controllable synthesis of silver nanoparticles based on a complexing agent method was developed. Citric acid was used as a complexing agent. The effect of pH (1.6 to 5.17) on the size and net height (as obtained from XRD analyses) of silver nanoparticles was investigated. The nanoparticles (10 to 40 nm) were characterized using XRD, TEM, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis spectrosco...
